FICTION WITHIN THE SCRIPTURAL LINES
Of all of God’s gifts, creative expression is my favorite.
I’m not convinced all writers choose their subject. For me it is more like a deep well within that gushes forth. You can come to Napa and meet several of the characters in the book, eat at the café, and take the same roads to the same lake. Many of the stories told in the book are true, or based on actual events. Many of the fictional elements are based upon the timing of events yet to happen, so they are told to open one’s mind to the possibilities, but not to claim knowledge of exact details. Collectively I feel the book is a result of life experience and biblical study.
This fictional book has a few simple ideas:
The context of biblical scripture must be upheld. Of all of God’s gifts, creative expression is my favorite. Fiction gives the writer absolute freedom, but I believe good Christian fiction always adheres to its portion of The Truth. There are several television shows presenting different views of our future. I’m not talking about the distant future. I mean modern shows that leverage end time events. It frustrates me to see our Father’s word hacked up and presented in a way that will deceive many.
- Nobody knows the exact dates of events, but we can leverages dates to show the duration and timing of the season.
- We don’t know who the Two Witnesses are yet, so a story can make up these characters as long as they stay within the borders of the scriptures.
- My book doesn’t predict a specific political strategy or outcome, but it does create a scenario that forces the characters to go to the mountains…
My intent is to present a general wholesomeness about the story. The primary goal for this work is to help people become familiar with what the Bible says about end time events. It is experienced by a group of people that I hope you grow to like as much as I have, but the characters will always be second to the greater truth driving the story. You won’t find any sex scenes, but we do deal with sexuality. You won’t find cussing, but it is implied in a couple of places. I don’t dwell on character flaws, but acknowledge real people have real problems.
I don’t throw rocks, however... It is impossible to discuss end time events without contradicting what differing groups teach. Some of these differences are lightly addressed, but the purpose is to acknowledge their presence and provide commentary on their distinction. If I misrepresent anything I’m open to correction.
Finally, this is my book. It’s my creative expression. My art. Below is a summary and links to several samples. I hope I’ve posted enough that you can get a good overview of the book. If you’re interested you can purchase a download or hardcopy here.

Wine Thief
Seth scoffed at 2012 until UFOs appear promising to rapture away believers, so with his friends they head for the mountains.
For months the skies occasionally flitter in pinks and blues, and UFO sightings are regularly shown on the nightly news. One night after work a group of friends get together at Seth’s home in Napa to play Rock Band. Later while sitting around a fire in the backyard they have a group encounter with a spacecraft in the sky. Seeing it in person, it is now a part of their reality.
Seth is convinced they are here to fulfill end-time events. He shares his theory with his friends at the Oak Barrel Café. When they decide to head for the hills, the panic of others trying to leave brings the highways to a standstill.
Seth and his friends work their way through the back roads. On the way to Tahoe the small group grows from a handful to over fifty people. Their camp at Lake Stampede grows to the thousands as people come to be baptized into the truth, and to stand against the leader of the UFOs… who is claiming to be Christ returned.
What is written about these times? Are alien plans for us built into the expectations of major religions around the world? If contact is made by beings that look like us, and they promise to bring paradise to earth, will you follow their lead or head for Lake Stampede?
